Description

Letters from Collins regarding the measurement of horses, and photographing horses. Collins discusses problems of representing distances and measurements in photographs, getting horses to stand in the correct position, the accuracy of photographs, and the facilities and equipment required for accurate photographs.

Enclosed are a tape measure used by Collins whilst photographing horses, a sketch of a bar to be mounted across the back of the horse, and a chart.
