Description

Cigarette packet (probably from the 1930s). The front shows an idealised image of a (victorious) young male athlete in physical perfection with a garland of laurels around his forehead, the 4 horses and rider of the Brandenburger Tor below him. The back has borders of linked rings, reminiscent of the Olympic games logo. It appears to be promoting cigarette smoking as a healthy activity. A Lopato Sons Ltd. was founded in Hong Kong in 1914.
