Description

Mainly Tim Lang's correspondence relating to the implications of the GATT for the food trade and industry, health and safety, particularly re concerns for the environment and the Developing World. Implications for social and environmental protection in the face of relaxation of trade rules and regulations.

This was during the period when Lang was Chair of Sustainable Agriculture Food and Environment (SAFE) Alliance UK set up c.1990. It merged with the National Food Alliance in 1999 and formed what is now called Sustain - the alliance for better food and farming.
