About this work

Description

Number 5 in a series of leaflets (suits of armour) issued by Ciba advertising the beta-blocker Trasidrex, active against angina pectoris, arrhythmia and hypertension. Leaflet contains three colour image inserts of 16th century suits of armour which, when the leaflet is folded, can be seen through a hole in the front section diecut into the shape of a shield. Specific suits shown: 'Armour of Henry VIII', circa 1540; 'Armour with tilt-pieces', circa 1590; and 'Japanese presentation armour', circa 1550.
