Description

Letters to Galton regarding the prohibitive cost of Galton's proposal for measuring clouds, a proposal to undertake experimental work, details of the experiments conducted observing the flight of shells fired from a gun, and news of a paper to be sent to Galton and the Meteorological Council. The letter dated 2 July 1881 was originally returned with a letter from Henry J Smith.
