    always to be obtained at Apothecaries’ Hall ;” this may have been the case; although, if the statements re- cently published by Mr. Phillips, a scientific chemist of London, who examined them, be facts, that Company has not been so careful in their preparations as they should have been. Now, as they do not import. their drugs, but go to the same markets as the proprietors of the Medical Hall, there can be no reason why their articles should be of a better quality. As to chemicals, he.has no hesitation in asserting, that those sold at the Medical Hall are, generally speaking, superior to those sold at Apothecaries’ Hall. The extravagantly high price at which drugs are retailed at the latter place, is too notorious to render any remark on the comparative prices necessary. 7 The Author has received from his friends residing in the Hast and West Indies, America, and in the country, many complaints of their agents in London having taken their commissions to the shops of chemists and druggists to be executed, although they were desired to apply to the Medical Hall; and some merchants in the City not having heard of the Medical Hall, have supposed that their correspondent meant Apothecaries’ Hail. In order, therefore, that his friends may know whether or not their commissions were. executed at the Medical Hall, he begs to state, that no article is sold there, or sent out, without a printed label, expressive of its name, and of its having been obtained at the Medi- cal Hall, 171, Piccadilly. This regulation has been adopted not only for the satisfaction of his friends, but for the support of the reputation of. the Establishment. —————— The Author attends every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, from eleven to two o’clock, at the Medical Hall, to give his advice to patients properly recom- mended as objects of charity.
