About this work

Description

Original letter, sent from Sydney to Henry Wellcome. Refers to a letter from Wyeth offering to supply Burroughs Wellcome & Co with quinquinia for malaria - "only for the trade outside N & S America[,] China & Japan...." Burroughs then remarks that "the Indian Govt should be able to to supply quinquinia to us at [a] more favourable rate than Wyeth & Bro as transportation of bark is saved & also labor is much cheaper in India than America" [page 1].
