Notes

The following description was provided by James Gardiner: "A.P. Holland of the ‘Bow Bells’ troupe demurely dressed in a fashionable afternoon outfit of fine patterned net or lace embroidered with strings of silk rose-buds. Matching hat, ‘Gaby Deslys’ style shoes and a picture hat complete the ensemble. Note his tiny waist, presumably being held in by the kind of corset he is seen being laced into in preeceding photograph (see Wellcome Library no. 2043301i)."
This work is untitled: the title has been supplied by the cataloguer.
