About this work

Description

Transmission electron micrograph showing a capillary in the corneal stroma. Two red blood cells are visible in the lumen of the capillary and seven endothelial cells make up the blood vessel wall. The intercellular junctions between these endothelial cells are clearly visible as dark lines. A basement membrane surrounds the vessel. The larger RBC is approxmately 4 microns in diameter.
