About this work

Description

Watercolour drawing of the head of a patient, illustrating a congenital lipoma of the left conjunctiva. The subject was a boy of 14 years, who exhibited several developmental anomalies. The right conjunctiva bore a small lipoma. In front of the left pinna were two accessory auricles and the arch of the palate was unusually high. He had been epileptic since his eighth year.
