Description
A documentary looking at the oldest people in the world. The programme aims to ask the oldest people in the world how why they think they've lived so long. Sydney, 101, still lives in his own home where he's lived for 75 years while many of the others spoken to live in care homes. The top 10 oldest people in the world live in the US. There we encounter Gertrude Bains, 112, on her birthday party. The elderly people interviewed have varying degrees of physical and mental health and as the programme progresses it becomes clear that they have all also led totally different life-styles, some smoking and drinking, some with seemingly no vices. Finally we meet the oldest living person in the world, Emma, who is 114-years-old.
