Content of a ring binder inscribed: "General Historical Archive. Thalidomide Medical Panel. Thalidomide Embryopathy Assessment Scheme. R.W.S", apparently compiled by Smithells and used both by him and the Trust. Correspondence and papers, left in the sequence in which they were found.
The material bears numbered labels running 0547-0578. An inventory dated December 2004 uses a different system (TA001-TA032; copy included).
Intercalated sheets bearing the logo of RWM Data Management Ltd and a September 2006 date indicate that the material may have been digitised around that time.
