Description
Human embryo stem cell research has taken one step forward with the issuing of the first licences to carry out experiments. Two projects, one at Edinburgh, the other at Guys Hospital, will begin after the House of Lords gave its approval. While some ethical issues are unresolved, Prof Brodie says there is huge potential for new cures.
