Left hand of a patient whose median nerve was divided three years previously

Watercolour drawing of the left hand of a female patient, aged 25 years, whose median nerve had been accidentally divided three years previously. The patient was the subject of phthisis. The hand has glossy fingers with nails which are too greatly curved. The index and middle fingers are wasted, and their movement is impaired, the abductor and part of the flexor brevis pollicis muscles are wasted.
