About this work

Description

This view of the College buildings differs from most in that it looks south, down narrow Warwick Lane. The word "Tylors" prominently carved on the pediment denotes the premises of Joseph Tylor, brassfounder, father of Alfred and Edward Tylor. See G. Clark et al, A history of the Royal College of Physicians of London, Oxford, 1964-72, vol II, p. 653, note 3
