    MEDICINAL Uses of Vinegar. Yinegar for Fever, &c. In cases of feverish symptoms, doses of from one to two tea-spoonfuls in a little water are most effective; the dose should be repeated every two or three hours. In blood spitting it is frequently more useful than any other remedy that can be adopted; it should for this purpose be taken in small wine-glassful doses, and repeated from time to time as long as the bleeding lasts. Yinegar for Hiccough, &c. Foe hiccough it is the best of all known remedies. A tea-spoonful dose will im¬ mediately allay the most violent attack of hiccough. With infusion of sage it forms a most excellent gargle in all cases of sore or relaxed throat. Yinegar for Cough Mixtures. Boiled with honey it forms a most excellent and effective Cough Mixture, especially for children. A pound of honey, half-a-pint of Hills and Undeewood’s best Yinegar, and a quarter of a pint of water should be boiled and stirred until the honey is dissolved. Dose :—for children, a teaspoonful; for adults, a table-spoonful, taken frequently.
