In the British Medical Journal for 15th March. 1913, just received, it is announced that Colonel Gorgas, of the Isthmian Can'al Commission, Panama, has accepted the task of organising a sanitary system for the port of Guayaquil, Ecuador, which has been known hitherto as the pest-hole of the Pacific.
