    These samples are practically clear and bright in appearance, neutral in reaction and free from iron and other metals# The water is very hard in character though not excessively so and it contains no excess of mineral constituents in solution# It is of very satisfactory organic quality# Prom the aspect of the chemical analysis the results are indicative of a pure and wholesome water suitable for drinking and domestic purposes* Swimming; Pool# Pive samples of water taken during the season v/ere satisfactory# During the winter pressure pipe's have been renewed and the sand cleaned before replacement# Drainage and Sewerage# No major work has been undertaken during the year although sewers have been extended to deal with new development# Refuse Collection and Disposal# Refuse is collected weekly and tipped at the Crane Mead site#
