    THE CHEMISTS' JOURNAL. PUBLISHED EVERY FRIDAY, PRICE ONE PENNY. Subscription, post free for one year, Six Shillings and Sixpence. Subscriptions may be sent by P.O.O., payable to W. Raynor, at the General Post Office, or in Halfpenny Postage Stamps. THE aim of The Chemists' Journal is to protect and advance the Trade Interests of all Registered Chemists and Druggists, their Assistants and Apprentices. Connected -with no institution nor trading firm, the Editor is free to treat all topics in a perfectly unbiassed and independent manner, and his determination is to provide Pharmacists •with a Journal which all shall admit to he a thoroughly representative organ of the Trade, and at a price which is merely nominal. Since its establishment in May, 1880, The Chemists' Journal has acquired a large circulation, which, week by week, is steadily increasing. The undermentioned departments of the Journal will sufficiently show its extensive scope, and also its excellence as a medium for advez-tisements of all novelties, new preparations, new books, and indeed of all matters which it is desired to bring before the notice of the British Pharmacist The principal features of The Chemists' Journal are ■— Leading Articles on needed reforms or Trade questions of present interest. Correspondence Column, in which all Trade grievances, and questions affecting the welfare of Pharmacy, &c, may be freely discussed. Notes and Queries for obtaining information relating to Practical Dispensing, New Formulae, and questions of practical importance to the Pharmacist. New Preparations, Novelties and Inventions. In these columns New Remedies, proprietary or otherwise, New Processes and Apparatus, and Trade novelties are described. Students' Column, to assist Apprentices in studying Pharmacy, Chemistry, Materia Medica, &c. Articles on Pharmaceutical, Medical, and Chemical Subjects. This Department of The Chemists' Journal is intended to bring into one focus reports, either in full or in absfo'act, of all original researches of interest and practical value to the Pharmacist. Papers on the history of Drugs and manufacture of Chemicals; on counter prescribing, &c, are also specially written by able contributors for this Journal. Exchange Column for the exchange of shop-fittings, books, instru- ments, sundries, &c. Price List and Trade Report, keeping Pharmacists informed as to the weekly fluctuation of the market. Reports of the Proceedings of Societies and associations of Chemists and Druggists throughout the Kingdom. Law and Parliamentary, giving reports of legal cases affecting the Trade, &c.
