About this work
Description
These 2 programmes uncover the history of certain governments' manufacture of deadly biological agents for use against other countries or their own insurgents. In Apocalypse Delayed Dr. Ken Alibek, who defected to the West from the former Soviet Union after working on such agents, discusses the production processes and potential use of smallpox and anthrax organisms. He claims that Russia continues working on these organisms despite Boris Yeltsin's 1991 decree banning such research. In both Russia and the U.S. the danger exists that individuals with expertise in producing deadly organisms may be open to offers from other governments or from terrorist groups.
