    The Steward. [14]. all the Linnen and other Things to be waili^ ed, and every Thing that may be neceffary in walking, and account to her for the fame. All the other Maid Servants fhall take their Orders and Directions, from time to time, from the Chief Nurfe ; apply to her for what they want and account for what jfhe delivers to them. CHAP. IV. Of the Steward and Men Servants. HE is to refide in the Hofpital, to be a fingle Man of unblemifhed Cha- rafter, diligent and fober, a good Account¬ ant, and confine himfelf entirely to theBu- finefs of the Hofpital *, and be never ab-* fent, unlels upon the Bufinefs of the Hofpi- tal, without Leave of the Daily Commit¬ tee. He is to attend the Infpeftion of all Children brought into the Hofpital, and make the feveral Entries, keep the Checques,. Regifters, and other Books ; and do fuch other Afls, as are hereafter mentioned. He is to have the immediate Infpeflion of all the Men Servants belonging to the Hofpital, and of every thing brought in, or carried out thereof *, and to have the Care of providing Utenfils, Provilions, and all other Neceffaries for the Ufe of the Ho¬ fpital *, and pay Servants Wages, and cur¬ rent Expences, purfuant to particular Orders of
