Description

Black and white reproduction of a plant specimen of Cinchona ledgeriana, Java, 1890. The original specimen was possibly a Flückiger herbarium sheet lent by the Pharmaceutical Institute of the University of Berne for Malaria section of the international celebration and exhibition : three hundredth anniversary of the first recognized use of cinchona by Europeans, 1630-1930, an exhibition hosted by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum in 1930. The specimen is possibly listed on page 29 in the souvenir catalogue.
