Vogeler Co.'s St. Jacob's Oil ("the great German remedy for pain") which was promoted as an effective external remedy in cases of: rheumatism, lumbago, neuralgia, backache, toothache, bruises, burns, sores, sprains, swellings etc., sore throat, sciatica, headache, frost-bites. The company's British operation was based at 45 Farringdon Road, London. The editorial is dated October 1884.
