About this work

Description

Cours de Médecine. Notes of lectures by an unnamed student: incomplete. Contents: Vol. II, second part. Containing 'Cacochymie', Maladies vénériennes, scorbuts. III. Inflammations. End of the index wanting. IV. Maladies des vices de l'éstomae. Traité des fièvres. V. Des maladies a Serosa colluvie [des poisons, des maladies comateuses]; beginning of the first section only. This MS. has been ascribed to Antoine Petit, though the text does not agree with those of MSS. 3843, 3844 where the same subjects are dealt with in part, and the order seems to be different. But these two MSS., and the present MS. are incomplete, and in this MS., Vol. IV, p. 69, the 'Traité des fièvres' is definitely stated to be 'Par Mr. Petit'. Produced in Paris.

Ownership note

A note by a bookseller in pencil on the first fly-leaf states 'Par Chiracq Paris', but this seems certainly to be incorrect.
