Notes

"Since I came out as transgender, I have learnt so much, experiencing society as female and now male. Gender is between the ears, not the legs. My body has continued to change through testosterone and chest surgery. Now I have the confidence to celebrate my Aboriginal heritage and brotherboy identity."--Jeremy Anderson.
Shed snake skin on sitter’s left foot was collected in the bush by an indigenous participant in the project. The artist and collector identified the skin as being from a diamond python (Morelia spilota spilota) due to its pattern.
One in a series of 20 life-sized collaborative photographic portraits originally commissioned for the 19th Biennale of Sydney 'You Imagine What You Desire', held 21 Mar 2014 - 9 Jun 2014.
