Description

Mid-borderline (BB) leprosy: side effects of chemotherapy This patient with BB has red-brown colouration of his facial lesions, due to the drug clofazimine. This occurs a few weeks after treatment has started and will resolve following completion of treatment. In lighter skinned patients, where the pigmentation is more obvious, compliance may be affected. It is important to emphasize the necessity of clofazimine as part of multidrug therapy (MDT) for leprosy.
