As originally published in 1734 this ed. ended at p. 338 (Uu2v). In this copy sig. Uu2 has been cancelled, p. 337-8 have been reset as sig. Xx1 and new material follows on as p. 339-491. British Library has a variant issue (1609/4680) retaining sig. Uu2 and with sig. Xx1 cancelled and replaced by two conjugate leaves containing t.p. 'A continuation of a treatise of the animal oeconomy' and 'Advertisement', both dated 1737. In our copy this t.p. is not present and the 'Advertisement' appears between preface and text. The BL copy also retains sig. Nn4 (blank) between p. 286 and 287 (marking the division between text of 1st ed. of 1732 and additions of 1734); this leaf is not present in our copy. The 'Letter to Dr. Cheyne' is a reissue of the separate ed. of 1735 and retains its original t.p. An errata leaf for this letter, probably added for this reissue, precedes this t.p. in or copy; in BL copy it follows the 1737 'Advertisement'
