Poster advertising "Admiral Tom Trump" ( the stage name of Jan - or Jean - Hannema, born in Franeker, Friesland, Holland, in 1839), appearing at the Horns Assembly Rooms in Kennington Park Road, London in 1875. Trump was promoted as the smallest man in the world with a height of 26 inches and a weight of 26 pounds. He could also speak five languages fluently. He toured Europe, visiting all the royal courts, imitating Tom Thumb, until his retirement and died in 1878.
