Description
Collection of cookery and medical receipts in various hands. There are few medical recipes, mainly written at the end of the volume.
A medicine for a cold is ascribed to the 'Revd Mr Craik' (f. 58v.).
'Mrs Frances Rawson Receipt Book 1734' inscribed on f. 1r.
Material dates from c. 1734 to the late 18th century.

130 ff. 88-121 blank. Original numbering eccentric. 1 volume: 305 x 185 mm. Original blind-stamped stationer's binding, with remains of tie; `pretium 5s' inscribed inside front cover.
