About this work

Description

Letters received from Robert Nisbet. The letters primarily consist of friendly reminiscences, and references to visits and holidays taken together by the two families. An envelope containing photographs is enclosed: there are 21 small photographs which show countryside scenes; seven photographs of what appears to be a sports day; and nine photographs within individual enclosures, many of them annotated, which appear to date from 1915. A photograph of Robert Nisbet as a youth is included, and these photographs may be of Leighton Park School, Reading.
