    ROYAL INFIRMARY OF I EDINBURGH, . AND FEVER HOSPITAL CONNECTED WITH IT. For the Year 1822. The Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh has been es- tablished above SO years; and during that period, it has uniformly maintained |ts claim to the public favour. Its benefits have not beeii confined to Edinburgh or its neighbourhood, but have been extended to the relief of poor persons, suffering from sickness and disease, from whatever part of the kingdom they may offer. By means of this Institution, the poor under the pres- sure of disease are provided with every thing that can tend to their comfort and relief ,• and many lives are an- ually saved to society through the attention and abili- ties of the Medical Gentlemen to whom the care of the Patients is committed. And although the cases of the persons admitted into the Royal Infirmary and Fever Hospital are generally attended with difficulty and dan- ger, yet the Managers have the satisfaction to state, that the success of the medical and surgical practice in these Establishments continues undiminished.
