![APPENDIX. SPECIAL REGULATIONS TO BE OBSERVED BY LECTURERS IN EDINBURGH. The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh have enacted*— I. That every Private Lecturer at this School of Me¬ dicine shall ascertain, at least twenty-five times in a six months’ course, and twelve times in a three months' course, the actual attendance given by his pupils. II. That he shall do this by calling the name of each pupil at least once a-week, and entering in a regular roll- book the presence or absence of each individual; the Students, of course, being kept in ignorance of the parti¬ cular days on which this is to be done. j- III. That the said roll-book shall be kept according to a form prescribed by the College; shall also be carefully preserved; and shall be at all times accessible to the Pre¬ sident, Ex-President, and Treasurer of the College, on whom it shall be incumbent to examine the roll-book of • i v. .v 'Jr each class at least once during every session, before the termination of the third weeks in April and July respec¬ tively.
