Description

An episode in the voyage of the Astrolabe in the South Pacific led by Jules Dumont d'Urville, 1827-1829. The man on the left holding a portfolio of drawings, is presumably the artist Louis-Auguste de Sainson. Of the other three men, two are Europeans and one is Tongan
