    We are supported by the highest authori¬ ties when we say that nostrums should never be taken indiscrimin¬ ately or applied to the teeth except under advice. We do not dispute the fact that certain solutions or tinctures may be of service when author¬ ised and introduced by a skilful hand, but much mischief can be and is caused when the treatment is taken in haphazard fashion. When it comes to the question of decayed or consistently painful or troublesome teeth, advice should certainly be sought. The sufferer cannot himself decide whether stopping or gold-filling is necessary, whether a gold crown will save the tooth, or whether an extraction and replacement by artificial teeth is the only solution. One thing the sufferer does know—that his teeth are in need of attention. The exact extent of attention he may safely leave to his advisers if he will seek the assistance of the famous Williams’ Teeth Institute, 141, Newington Cause¬ way, London, S.E.
