Description

Transmission electron micrograph showing massive lymphocyte infiltration at the site of an autoimmune corneal ulcer. There is evidence of cell lysis at the top of the field and the remains of the fibrillar matrix towards the lower left. some lymphcytes have prominent clusters of mitochondria - see upper right. The field is approxmately 26 microns in diameter.
