About this work

Description

Confocal micrograph of the bacteria Escherichia coli (E. coli). Fluorescent proteins (TagRFP-T, mCherry, sfGFP, TagBFP, CFP and YFP), time-lapse confocal microscopy and biophysical models are being used to understand the mechanisms underlying bacterial biofilms formation. This image was produced using a Leica SP5 confocal microscope.
