A Pint of Sherry, White Tort, or other white Wine, dalh’d with two or threes Spoonfulls of this Tinfture makes a de¬ lightful Bitter, which is the Name it has long gone by in my Family, and among fuch of my Acquaintance as have ufed it.: One or two of thefe Ingredients indeed are a little more coftly than thofe com¬ monly ufed by Vintners for the fame Pur- pofe ; neither will they go fo far, becaufe not fufFer’d to fteep fo long as theirs; for which Reafons it cannot well be fold fo cheap as that, efpecially if none but neat Wine, which I earneftly recommend, be ufed in it.
