Believing that a report of the anatomical variations that have occurred in the dissecting-rooms would be an acceptable com- munication to the Hospital Reports, I have selected the following from among the very numerous abnormalities that have come under my observation during the last seven years. They have been chosen either on account of their rarity, or because they seemed of morphological interest, or of some slight practical value to the surgeon. They are described from notes taken at the time. The drawings on wood were kindly made for me by Mr. Godart, from rough sketches in my note-book of the dis- sected parts. No attempt is here made to furnish a statistical report of the relative frequency of the niore common and everyday observed abnormalities. I hope, however, to have an opportunity of pub- lishing such an account on some future occasion.
