It was the author’s intention to have referred to the respective works of those, who, in their writings on these diseases, have recommended cupping; but he has found it to be so generally advised that it would have been a considerable waste of time and trouble to have inserted their remarks, and might have led him into discussions which would have unnecessarily increased the extent and price of the work.
