This is a most sublime allegorical repjiegenta- tion of the pleasures of the world of natiTre: the last six lines are illustrative of the magnificent circular, and other distribution of the sun's fire in the sky of the new earth, as explained in the Revelations of Egyptian Mysteries. Phoebus- Apollo is a personification of the celestial fire, that of the sun : the account of his musick seems, with truth, to say, that in the new world, nature does produce the most exquisite, and harmonious musick for the joy of her children. And nature now presents many indications directing to the same conclusion : her empire could not be com- plete, in the absence of delightfully harmonious sounds, or musick. It was ordained by nature that all this should be lost to the mind of man, as Scripture says: “ 1 will destroy the wisdom of the wise, (that is the wisdom of Egypt,) and will bring to nothing the
