Original signed letter, on headed paper of US Consulate, Sydney.
Burroughs intends to "sail by first boat to San Francisco" to see his elderly uncle - "this may be his last illness". Burroughs notes that his uncle "has been a great benefactor to me." The letter continues with reference to Mr Rankin acting as a salesman for Burroughs Wellcome & Co (details of proposed remuneration given).
