    should sit down in a bath-sheet—so as to dry the body without much exertion— and thus promote a good reaction and avoid hurrying the circulation; then to rest in bed for a full hour, and not to go out of doors at night after the bath when taken at 5 p.m. The chemical constituents of the Nau- heim baths are well known, and the ingre- dients I for preparing the bath at home can easily be supplied by any chemist. The ordinary full bath in general use in Eng- land holds about fifty gallons of water. ' Ten pounds chloride of sodium in powder or block, and ten ounces chloride of calcium mixed with a pint of distilled water. The chloride of so- dium should be dissolved in the bath first, then the chloride of calcium added.
