Description
Satire on the British army in China
A Chinese woman with an elaborate gown and hair decoration stands beside a British army officer and two further Chinese; she points to the admiral who sits on the right hand side of the scene with his arm around another Chinese girl who holds a fan and gazes at him. Another Chinese girl seated beside him, holding a fan, looks directly out at the viewer. Behind, a group of people stand around a table laden with bottles, food and a tea pot
