Folder containing items of very large ephemera. Includes: membership certificate for the Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain (1887, William Turner Thistleton-Dyer), facsimile of a 1799 Mexican viceregal decree prohibiting the resale of books (Zeitlin & ver Brugge, 160-61), Evening Standard newspaper poster from 23 April 2008 with the headline: "Kings Cross Disease Centre 'terror target'" (controversy over the Wellcome Trust funded centre being a possible target for a terrorist attack), homeopathy (J.D.M. Crockwell, M.D. from Salt Lake City, 1876), incinerator latrines for field service (1952), insurance (Phoenix Fire Office, 57 Charing Cross in 1888), accident prevention in the workplace (lifting and carrying), health and safety signage (Stocksigns), lifesaving in water and resuscitation of the "apparently drowned" (Royal Life Saving Society), swimming, harvesting and the agricultural / food industry (Massachusetts, 1851, 1855, 1858, 1862), kinesiology or medical gymnastics (Baron Nils Posse, 1895) welfare payments to widows and orphans in late 19th century Vienna.
