Description

Wounded Allied troops flown in from the Anzio campaign were flown to Capodichino airport, Naples, where the Red Cross supplied warm drinks, clean blankets and a cheerful word before being taken by waiting ambulances to the most suitable hospitals--information from label by the artist for exhibition at Ealing local history library, 1995
