About this work
Description
A colour stop frame animation with soundtrack which aims to warn of the dangers of over population taking as its starting point a visit to an art gallery and looking at a famous painting of a rural idyll by John Constable (The Hay Wain). The picture is then animated to reveal how it would appear if it was over-run by tourists, an ice-cream van, fences then full urbanisation takes over. Hence the title is ironic as soon the original scene is unrecognisable.
