    Sanitary Inspector’s Report for 1920. Town House, SOWERBY. To the Chairman and Members of the Sanitary Committee. Gentlemen, I have pleasure in submitting to you my report of the Sanitary condition of the District for your consideration. Your district has been continually inspected for the detection and suppression of Nuisances during the year. The number dealt with was 84; .numbered abated 73, number unabated on the 31st December, 11. The Scavenging of the district was carried out by Owners during 1920, and I desire to congratulate you on deciding to take over this work during expiring year, in order to assist the duty to be carried out efficiently, many of the conveniences will require to be constructed on modern lines, and in accordance with the plan submitted to all Owners, Tub Closets are not being requested, but a more sanitary system of the Privy Ash-place Type, I feel sure the more systematic cleansing will be a decided improvement on the past method. Daisy Lee Farm has been acquired for the purpose of Tipping House Refuse and Night Soil, and portions of the land has been fenced off, and I trust there will be no reason to complain of any nuisance arising therefrom.
