Creator/production credits
Henry Stevens is described in the Oxford dictionary of national biography as "a noted photographer, as well as the doyen of natural history auctioneers" in London in his day. His carbon prints of orchids are listed in the Oct. 7, 1882 issue of the Photographic journal. He received a medal from the Royal Photographic Society for one of his flower photographs in 1882, as well as at the 1882 Brussels International Photographic Exhibition. He was a member of the Royal Photographic Society from 1882 to 1897 (website of Vintage Works, Ltd., Chalfont, Pa., 2018)
