    Provisional Specification. A.D. 1872.—N° 111. 3 Sullivan's Improvements in Apparatus for Administering Fills. What I claim as my Invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is the device for administering pills, consisting essentially of the vessel A provided with handle B and spout C, the latter being extended to form the inclined nozzle D and mouth piece E, intersected by the 5 inclined pill chute E, substantially as described. SPECIFICATION in pursuance of the conditions of the Letters Patent, filed by the said John Sullivan in the Great Seal Patent Office on the 9th May 1872. TO ALL TO WHOM THESE PRESENTS SHALL COME, I, John 10 Sullivan, of the Village of Thornton, in the County of Simcoe, and Province of Ontario, Canada, send greeting. WHEREAS Her most Excellent Majesty Queen Victoria, by Her Letters Patent, hearing date the Thirteenth day of January, in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and seventy-two, in the 15 thirty-fifth year of Her reign, did, for Herself, Her heirs and successors, give and grant unto me, the said John Sullivan, Her special license that I, the said John Sullivan, my executors, administrators, and assigns, or such others as I, the said John Sullivan, my executors, administrators, and assigns, should at any time agree with, and no 20 others, from time to time and at all times thereafter during the term therein expressed, should and lawfully might make, use, exercise, and vend, within the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, the Channel Islands, and Isle of Man, an Invention for “ Improvements in Apparatus for Administering Pills,’* upon the condition (amongst others) 25 that I, the said John Sullivan, my executors or administrators, by an instrument in writing under my, or their, or one of their hands and seals, should particularly describe and ascertain the nature of the said Invention, and in what manner the same was to he performed, and cause the same to he filed in the Great Seal Patent Office within 30 six calendar months next and immediately after the date of the said Letters Patent.
