Copy 2. was Arthur Newsholme's copy, and has his ownership signature on the front free-endpaper: "Arthur Newsholme May 1899" and "with corrections" on front pastedown. It is incomplete : pages 17-18 are missing; some pages have been cut up (5-6, 7-8, 59-60) ; it looks like a page was removed after p. xii; mss annotations in the text, loose mss inserts, loose autograph letters : signed authograph letter from "G.U.Y.
